We Need Ideas for a Contest!

Hello everyone! :o

I am looking for a good idea for a contest! I want to bring more members to the site and I want members to post more often and more regularly. Any ideas?

The contest will include a prize at the end.

***Also, we still need a moderator, preferably someone who is over the age of 18 because of the types of posts they will need to delete. Anyone who is interested please private message me or email me.

Have a story contest. Give a certain situation and have people to do a story of it. It would be a process but it may take up to 2-3 months. But i beleive its a great idea

That sounds like a cool idea.

Ashley suggested this as well "You should add some type of points system. For example a post may be worth 2 points bring more members 3 points, logging in 1 poing and at the end of every month you could have a prize for the highest."

I like this idea...does anyone else have any fun ideas?

I like that idea :) Any suggestions on prizes? You can just put links if you want...preferably Hello Kitty stuff, heh

Also, we'd need like 1st place prize all the way to like 4th or 5th place prizes too!

Look what I made. This is an example of how we can track contestants' points in the upcoming contest. I haven't picked a time or the prizes yet, but I think this should help out.

I was thinking we'd give like several prizes for like 1st, 2nd, 3rd...and so on place in the contest and it you would get points based on Brand new posts created (3 points), Replies to other posts (2 points), Bringing in a friend with your referral code...this person would have to be an active member though (25 points), Creating a new posts that has the most replies in the month (25 points), and Creating a Thread with the most views in a month (10 points).

This contest would probably last a month to give everyone time to invite their friends/whatever else it takes.

Anyone have any other ideas on how to give points, so that people who came in a little later in the game would still have a chance to win prizes?
